Nicki Minaj is one of my favorite artists because her music, creativity, and confidence inspire me so much. I love listening to her songs, and I really admire how unique she is as an artist and how she has built such an amazing career. Even though I’m a big fan, there are some things I don’t agree with, especially her support for Trump and some of the choices surrounding her husband. I can still appreciate her music and the inspiration she gives me while having my own opinions about the things I disagree with.

Cardi B is an amazing artist who continues to push forward despite all the hate and criticism she receives. I don’t always understand the hate because she’s genuinely funny, talented, and unapologetically herself. I also think her kids are absolutely beautiful, and I admire how much she loves and supports them. While I don’t agree with everything she says or does, I can still appreciate her talent, personality, and the way she keeps going despite what people say about her.

Some Barbs might hate me for liking Cardi B too, but at the end of the day, it’s my choice which artists I want to listen to and support. I love both Nicki and Cardi for different reasons, and I don’t think I need to choose a side. Their beef can be really confusing and honestly, I don’t care for the drama—I’m just here to enjoy the music I like.
